I've dedicated this site to getting the most out of your cell phone. I've always been interested in the use of cell phones and getting them to do what you want them to do. As my current phone is the Nokia N80 most of the articles will be about this phone at the moment. I mainly use Windows XP and Ubuntu for the end user operating system and debian linux as the server.

Nokia has released a new firmware for N80(ie) with version number v 5.0719.0.2. It's available via NSU but not FOTA. I've just installed it, so the only change noticed yet is that Y-Browser no longer works. The phone give a security error message when you try to start the app. I'll post more after more testing.

I've also noticed one more thing. I've been using a third party theme that has slowed down the use of the menu system a lot. But the new firmware has fixed this problem. The menu system is much quicker with the new firmware and the third party theme. I don't know how the performance is with the default theme, seeing as I haven't used it in a very long time.
