Programming Perl – The ultimate perl book. Print E-mail

“Programming perl” is a book any perl programmer must have on his or her shelf. The book is written as a textbook and takes you from the simplest introduction to perl to hyperadvanced stuff like writing your own perl modules in C or using perl scripting in your own software.

Regardless the book also functions surprisingly well as a reference. The book is funny in the good O’Reilly tradition. We often recognize the examples from TV like The Simpsons, Star Wars, The Flintstones, etc. It isn’t very often you find yourself laughing out loud while reading scientific literature, but this book might do just that to you.

The examples in the book are well written, and often show you many different alternatives to solving a problem, the next better than the previous. Either you are a beginner or a hardcore perl programmer this book will make programming perl fun. No matter how much perl you know, you will always find something new in this book.

You should definitely indulge yourself and purchase this book. No bookshelf should be without. Personally I need a new copy. My old one is worn out.
