HTC Corporation is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones. The HTC Desire (running LeeDroid 3.3.3) is my current, and first Android phone. The Desire is a great phone, besides the fact that it has no way near enough internal memory. Below is a list of my posts relating to HTC.

HTC Desire mass storage fail on Debian

TuxEver since I got my HTC Desire I've had trouble using it in mass storage mode on Debian. The problems occur booth on Squeeze and Lenny. Instead of showing up as /dev/sdx#, only the first partition of the memory card shows up, and it shows up as /dev/sdx. /dev/sdx can be mounted, and copying from the memory card works fine. Copying to the memory card doesn't work. It looks like everything is hunky dory, but the files are actually never saved on the memory card. Partitioning the memory card doesn't work either. Fix gmail pushmail fail after ROM-update

Android logoI just updated the ROM on my Android HTC Desire to LeeDroid 3.3.3 the other day. After upgrading, I suddenly noticed that my gmail was no longer being pushed to my phone even though I had heaps of internal memory free. I finally found out that obviously gmail push has problems when settings have been restored using Titanium Backup. I simply had to enable, and then disable the settings to get things to work.Read more »»

Migrate your Symbian S60 SMS-messages to your Android-phone

A couple of days ago I finally received my brand new HTC Desire (featuring a SLCD-screen instead of the OLED and Android 2.2) that I ordered ages ago. Thus I soon will start posting Android stuff here, and as soon as I finish my masters thesis I'll start writing software for Android too (and posting about it here).

One of the first things I decided to do was import SMS from my old Nokia N95-8GB. No need to sync contacts since I decided to do that manually and get rid of a lot of old crap at the same time.Read more »»
